5On 18 August, an armed group set up a checkpoint on the Assosa-Kurmuk road, 12 km south of Assosa town. Our team was stopped for two hours. We suspended vehicle movements on this axis for 48 hours.

7One of our female community health workers in Kurmuk has reported anxiety and sleep problems since witnessing a violent incident in her village last month. She has been referred to the staff welfare officer.
